The fire appliances in the museum are fragile but the ones we will have outside in the courtyard are not. Ticketed entry slots are every 30 mins, the last entry is 2:30pm.

Explore the Museum - Step inside our fascinating museum and discover the story of Scottish firefighting, from its earliest days to the modern era. Wander through five themed galleries filled with historic fire engines, vintage equipment, rare artefacts, and powerful tales of bravery and innovation.
Get Hands-On with Fire Engines -While the antique engines inside are delicate, the fire engines stationed outside in the courtyard are ready for you to climb aboard. This is a rare opportunity for both kids and adults to get up close and personal with real firefighting appliances.
Meet the Firefighters - Fire crews from McDonald Road Community Fire Station, the Water Rescue Crew from Marionville Fire Station, the Rope Rescue Crew from Tollcross Fire Station and the Fire Investigation Team along with fire dog Phoenix, will all be on site with their appliances, ready to engage with visitors, answer questions, and show you what it’s like to be a modern firefighter.
Food and Drink - On the day you can purchase food and drinks (hamburgers, fries, donuts, coffee and more).
Face Painting - We will have face painters on the day charging a small fee of £5.
Event Entrance - Event Entrance will be through the parking lot gate located on McDonald Road. If you come to the museum’s main entrance you will be directed to McDonald Road.
