History for Lunch – Part 2: The McComb Movement Timeline Project
In July, we began an important conversation about the McComb Civil Rights Movement. Together, we asked questions, shared memories, and explored the historical context that will help shape a community-driven timeline of one of the most significant chapters in our local history that produced national implications.
Now it's time to come back together.
Join us for Part 2 as we present additional historical information, continue building the timeline, and invite the community to contribute stories, photographs, documents, and memories that can help preserve our shared history for future generations.
This project belongs to the community, and every contribution, big or small, helps create a more complete and accurate record of McComb's Civil Rights Movement.
Youth are especially encouraged to attend and participate. This is an opportunity for younger generations to learn directly from local history and engage in preserving the stories that shaped our community.
