Join Muscatine Branching Out for their Annual Tree Care Workshop! This free workshop will feature Planting for the Future: Diversity is the Key presented by Chuck Porto. "What's prettier than a maple lined parkway? Or stately elms overhanging a city boulevard? To some of us, it's a city street lined with native and adapted trees that bring a resilient mix of diverse species capable of withstanding the next Dutch elm disease or emerald ash borer infestation." Chuck recently retired from Iowa City Landscaping after 35 years and has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to trees and shrubs!
A light breakfast and coffee will be provided, registration and breakfast begins at 8:45 am. Following the keynote presentation will be an Ask the Experts Panel. Come with your questions related to your trees, how to care for your trees (pruning, watering, mulching, etc) or pest and disease questions for our Ask the Experts Panel.
This is Muscatine Branching Out's annual tree care workshop. MBO is a volunteer group that aims to plant more trees in our community as well as educate residents on the benefits of trees and how to properly care for trees. We hope to see you there!
