🌴 A Night of Sand, Stories & Beautiful Monsters
This May, Storytellers Canvas washes ashore somewhere far from ordinary.
For one intimate evening, we gather inside the legendary backyard world of Tiki Steve; artist, storyteller, architect of atmosphere, and keeper of a hidden island tucked quietly into a West Jordan neighborhood.
You'll find yourself captivated beneath swaying palms, glowing lanterns, and the hush of warm night air. This home is a portal to Tiki Island: a dreamlike refuge where stories are traded like treasure and the line between audience and myth... blur.
The beach itself becomes our stage.
Bare feet in the sand. Moonlight on the water. Fifty souls gathered around the fire of human expression. 🌙
Our guest artist, Tiki Steve, invites each storyteller deeper into the island’s mythology. Those who step forward to share may find themselves matched with a pair of monster feet! Playful relics chosen to reflect the spirit of their story and transform them, briefly, into creatures of the island.
Some stories may become hilarious.
Some haunting.
Some wild.
Some tender.
But every storyteller leaves footprints.
Whether you bring poetry, confession, comedy, music, movement, myth, or something impossible to categorize, your offering becomes part of Tiki island itself.
This is Storytellers Canvas as you know it:
13 storytellers.
7 minutes each.
Audience favorites.
An intimate gathering of artists, romantics, weirdos, and wandering souls.
Only this time… we’re doing it barefoot in paradise. 🌺
Dress Code:
Tropical surrealism. Island dreamers. Washed-ashore elegance. Vintage resort wear. Colorful linens, floral prints, tiki glam, strange beach formal, sailor mystics, castaway poets, coconut decadence, moonlit vacation energy.
Or simply come as you are and let the island decide who you become.
🎠Audience Favorites
At the end of the evening, the audience will vote for the storytellers who moved them most. Whether this be through beauty, vulnerability, absurdity, laughter, or emotional shipwreck.
