Registration now open! please call or visit the Mayo Lake Park office to pre-register (336) 597-7806 or register the morning of the tournament prior to boat launchTournament Rules and Regulations:
-All fish must be caught with artificial lures in a sportsman like manner.
-Trolling is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
-All contestants must wear life jackets with a K*ll switch attached when the main vessel motor is running.
-NO alcoholic beverages are allowed in any boat during time of the tournament.
-There will be a 5-fish limit per team with all fish measuring at least 14" for tournaments occurring February through May. The early bird tournament occurring in June has a 3 fish limit per team with all fish measuring at least 14". One pound penalty and loss of fish for any measuring less than 14". No exceptions.
-Quarter ounce deduction per dead fish.
-In the event of a tie, prize money will be awarded to the team with the largest fish.
-Tournament payback is 80%.
-Pay back based on number of entries. 1 place for every 6 boats will be paid.
-Launch time will be as follows:
Feb - April: Launch 7AM
May: Launch 6:30AM
June (Early Bird): Launch 5AM
-Starting position will be in the order that registration is received.
-Live wells will be checked before starting.
-Boats will be assigned tournament registration numbers. Numbers must be turned in during weigh-in.
-Weigh-in times:
Feb.- May: 3pm
June (Early Bird): 11AM
-One pound per minute penalty, for lateness and team disqualification after 10 minutes. Vessel must be in sight of boat landing by 3:00pm for tournaments held Feb. - May and 11AM for Early Bird tournament in June. (Judged By Park Ranger)
- A polygraph test may be given to any contestant. Failure to participate will result in the disqualification of the team.
-A written letter of protest from any contestant must be received within 15 minutes of weigh-in.
-All tournament decisions made by Park Rangers are FINAL.
-Failure to follow tournament guidelines will result in disqualification.
-Multiple flights will be determined by number of participating vessels. Park Ranger will make decision on multiple flights.
