About this Event
Mayan Fire Ceremony is a ritual dedicated to honoring our ancestors, connecting deeply with the natural elements, and invoking healing and blessings for our community. Rooted in Mayan cosmology and spirituality, the ceremony will focus on the four essential elements—fire, earth, water, and corn—which are revered in Mayan tradition as life-giving forces. Through this sacred act of communion, we will unify our spirits and intentions, seeking harmony, healing, and strength for our community and the land we call Home.
We hope you will please join us for a Traditional Mayan Fire Ceremony lead by Mayan Spiritual Healer Ajq'ij Tata Julio Reyes Aguilar and Mayan Ajq'ij Apprentice Abigail McClam, local Charleston Healer and director of Lotus Healing Center.
At this evening event, you will experience the profound wisdom and healing energy of traditional Mayan Fire Ceremony in an intimate, sacred gathering held by healers Tata Julio and Abigail. This special community event will take place outdoors at the serene Sea Island Herb Farm, located on the ancestral land of John's Island.
The ceremony will guide you through the ancient practices of the Mayan people, including:
- Discovery of your personal Nahual, Mayan spirit guide
- Sacred Mayan Tree Meditation
- Ancestral Ritual offering the sacred elements of fire, earth, water, and corn.
This community event is dedicated to blessing,, healing, and honoring the land, the people, the spirits, and our ancestors. Through the indiginous wisdom and sacred practice of Fire Ceremony, we will come together to strengthen our connection with the earth and each other.
