About this Event
This class will be held once a week on Sundays from 2:30-4:30pm. Purchasing this class gives you access to 5 classes from May 26th- July 7th. Please note there will NOT be class on June 16th or June 23rd. There will be a 6th class for glazing but since it doesn't require much guidance students can come anytime while I'm teaching another class. Available times to come and glaze are monday 6-8pm, Thursday 6-8pm or Sunday 12-2 pm. This course focuses on the fundamentals of wheel throwing for both beginners and experienced potters. Students will develop skills in centering, throwing, trimming, decorating and glazing. A large component of this course will be discussing the importance of proportion, repetition, line, and positive/negative space. This class will be a safe space where everyone can explore their creativity with no judgment. Students of all skill levels are welcomed, and we will tailor the class to your specific goals. Basic tools and clay are included. Glaze is also included but limited. The age requirement is 18+ Unless the parent takes the class with the child then the age requirement is 16+. Long nails and acrylics will make throwing very difficult so we suggest cutting your nails before class.
Please bring a towel and wear non slip shoes. Closed toed shoes are not required but highly encouraged. An apron also isn’t required but suggested.
