Please join us for May’s Tummy Tuesday! Our show will be on May 26th at 7 pm at Natalie’s Taste of Lebanon. Enjoy a night of delicious food and family friendly belly dance performances! I will be your hostess this month. If you would like to perform, you must contact me by Facebook Messenger or at arwkemp (at) Verizon (dot) net.
As an extra incentive for performers, I am cleaning out my library’s duplicates! Each dancer who performs this month will get to select from the stack I am bringing, based on the order performing. There are some good reference texts on the dance and culture here!
For all attendees, reservations are highly recommended and can be made online at www.nataliesrva.com. If the online system indicates the restaurant is closed that night, please call to make a reservation. Reservations can fill up quickly. Natalie's is located at 2825 Hathaway Rd. Richmond, VA 23225. Performer Reminders:
* IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR MUSIC ON CD, PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS WITH ME BEFORE 5PM ON SUNDAY, 5/24.
* Please understand that the restaurant is under new ownership, and we are building relationships with the new staff.
* Dancing starts at 7 pm. Please check in with the TT hostess prior to the show start, and advise if you will be arriving after 7.
* All performers must wear a coverup when not dancing (a veil doesn't count).
* Natalie's is a kid-friendly family Lebanese restaurant so please consider this when choosing costume and music.
* Keep performance time under 5 minutes.
* Please have music on a CD and label it with your name and the track number.
* We discourage tipping due to the nature of this performance type.
* We encourage you to come mostly dressed as there is no designated dressing room. You can make last-minute adjustments (add belt, put on veil, zills, touch up makeup, etc.) in one of the restrooms. We cannot guarantee that the private room will be available for getting ready.
* Our introductions are brief, usually "and our next lovely dancer is...". If there is something you specifically want said, please write it down but make it short.
