Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with an evening of food, fun, learning, and community connection. Whether you have a little extra to share or could use a little extra support, you are welcome here!
🌮 Community Potluck Dinner (5–7:30 PM)
We’ll be serving a full taco bar as our main dish — and as always, we make sure there’s enough food for everyone, even if no one else can bring a dish to share.
If you bring a dish to share, please stop by the welcome table to fill out an ingredient card so guests with allergies can make safe choices.
We will also be posting a list of ingredients and items we need for the taco bar as we get closer to the event. Donations of food items are always appreciated and help us continue feeding our community.
At the end of the night, all leftovers are delivered to The Warming Shelter, ensuring that every contribution helps feed someone in need.
🌱 Gardening Class: Take‑Home Tomatoes (6 PM)
Learn how to grow your own container tomatoes!
Participants will receive hands‑on instruction and take home their own tomato plant to nurture throughout the season.
🎉 Activities Happening All Evening (5–9 PM)
👕 Clothing Swap
Bring your gently used, clean clothing to lay out on our swap tables. Everything is free to take! If you don’t want to bring your leftover items home, we’ll add them to our clothing closet so they can continue helping others.
📖 Take‑a‑Book / Leave‑a‑Book Library
Browse, trade, and discover something new to read.
🎲 Board Games & Puzzles
Sit down, relax, and enjoy some casual fun with others in the community.
🎨 Kids’ Creativity Table
Cinco de Mayo–themed crafts and projects for kids of all ages.
🎶 Music in the Multipurpose Room
Enjoy festive music throughout the evening as we celebrate culture, community, and connection.

Events like this bring our community together, and ensure that everyone has access to food, resources, and connection. We believe that joy shouldn't have a paywall, and hope those that join us leave nourished, body and spirit!
