The Ancient City Poets will host a community open mic reading on Sunday May 26th from 2:30 to 4:30 at the Maria Reyes-Jones Gallery, located at 134 Riberia Street.
Celebrate creative writing and reciting, surrounded by bright and exciting artwork.
The gathering will be held at the Maria Reyes-Jones Studio at 134 Riberia Street in historic Downtown St. Augustine. The sign-up sheet will be available at 2:30 PM on the event day. At 3 PM, the facilitator will call to the podium the first 15 names on the sheet. Each presentation should be limited to five minutes maximum, to allow everyone time to share. The mic will be turned off a 4:30 PM to allow everyone time to network and socialize.

As a community of poets and poetry lovers, ACP has been gathering on the last Sunday of the month in Saint Augustine, Florida since August 2009. If you have ever gone to one of the monthly readings over the last nine years, you should invite your friends to come and check it out. FLORIDA STATE POETS ASSSOCIATION (FSPA)
Ancient City Poets is the local chapter of the Florida State Poets Association (FSPA). These gatherings qualify as the monthly chapter meeting. The monthly readings are open to all. You do not have to be a member to share at the podium. Ancient City Poets is a community of poets and poetry lovers who have gathered in the Nation’s Oldest City, on the last Sunday of the month, since August 2009.
