MAY Needlepoint 102: Learn Basketweave

This class is the next step for those who already know the basics of needlepoint or have taken our level one "Learn to Needlepoint" class before. Bring your own 13 mesh project or choose the "add-on" option to purchase the kitted Geraldine and Virginia Butter Bookmark.

This time of instruction will include two hours working closely with needlepoint experts to learn how to do the basketweave stitch!

A small basketweave practice canvas, threads, and detailed instrcuttional handouts will be provided to all students in attendance. Caitlyn from Geraldine and Virginia will lead the class along with the help of the incredible staff at Stitchers.

Stitchers are asked to come prepared with their own needlepoint project (13 mesh is preferred), needlepoint accessories, and preferred tools. Stitchers Memphis is offering a 10% discount on class night. If you'd prefer, choose the add-on option and a Butter bookmark project and DMC floss will be provided for you!

This class is perfect for those who already know the basics of threading a needle, how to do the tent stitch, and are ready for the next level. Basketweave is known as the most durable stitch that provides the best coverage for needlepoint canvases. This is a great opportunity for stitchers to meet other needlepointers and master the art of basketweave in a supportive and fun environment!
