We gather again on Wadawarrung Country in May, at The Crypt. You are always welcome to share what moves you to be shared, without a theme. But as it is Mother’s Day, you may like to share something about mothers, whether that be Mother Earth, your own experience of learning to mother yourself, mothering others, or those that have mothered you. Or perhaps you’d like to take inspiration from the word Matrescence or Matriarchy. In a recent interview with my friend, the film maker/singer/songwriter, Claire Tonti, on Beyond the Bump podcast, Claire says matriarchy isn’t the opposite of patriarchy, it’s actually an indigenous idea of all beings as equal, as a culture and society that is made from love and reciprocity, that we move in a way that isn’t about consuming as much as we can…” Hope to see you there!
