It's the season of getting flowerbeds ready and planted for summer! If you’ve ever wanted to put a native spin on your home landscaping, this is the event for you! Planting native wildflowers, trees, and shrubs is an incredible way to add unique beauty, boost pollinator populations, and reduce the required maintenance of your yard. There are countless reasons to incorporate native species to your outdoor spaces, and it can be done gradually over time. Come out to the Atwood Center and see what native plantings we’ve done around the facility, and see what ideas you can take home with you!
Please meet at Atwood Center (2685 New Milford School Road) and bring comfortable closed-toe or closed-heel shoes, weather appropriate clothing, and a desire to stop and smell the flowers!
In the Outdoors, events are supported by Rock River Disposal. This event is FREE. Pre-registration is highly recommended and appreciated.
