Featured nationally on Netflix’s High on the Hog, Drink Masters, and Amazon Prime’s Three Drinkers, Barriere has been recognized by Tastemakers of the South and the James Beard Foundation for her insightful approach to the art of the cocktail. During this Welcome Reception at FLOW Gallery + Workshop, you’ll enjoy light tastings and hear how Barriere pursued her love of spirits to gain national recognition as a cocktail educator and historian.

More than just bookend celebrations on the May calendar, Cinco de Mayo and the running of the Kentucky Derby have long been united by their respective signature spirits. Join celebrated mixologist Tiffanie Barriere as she breaks down the cultural journey that led each event towards its own unique flavors – the mint juleps of the Derby and the tequila and mezcal of Cinco de Mayo. Informed by this educational seminar, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the inspired remixes she creates, blending the traditions of each to create mezcal juleps, tequila sours, and more.
Garden to Glass: Southern Botanicals and Agave Magic

Perfect for those starting their spring gardens, this workshop will have you mastering the craft of bespoke cocktails made from simple ingredients, guided by Barriere’s deep knowledge of botanicals, layered flavors, and seasonality. Heritage in a Highball: Cocktails that Tell a Story

Tiffanie Barriere made her mark as a mixologist with her carefully studied knowledge of how different drinking traditions shaped the cocktails we know and love today. During this workshop at Hush, Montage Palmetto Bluff’s speakeasy, you’ll join her on a journey through Black, Latin, and Southern traditions that brought their own unique flavors to their spirits and their own methods to their mixology. With each pour, you’ll gain a greater appreciation of the story behind the spirit, remixing them with your own personal flair into something all your own.

Known as “The Drinking Coach,” Tiffanie Barriere is a renowned bartender, educator, and beverage influencer celebrated for her innovative cocktail programs and commitment to hospitality. A Tastemakers of the South award winner and James Beard–recognized public historian, Tiffanie has crafted creative menus for world-class chefs, hosted mixology classes globally, and showcased her expertise on Netflix’s High on the Hog, Drink Masters, and Amazon Prime’s Three Drinkers. Her work celebrates the history, culture, and craft of cocktails, with a focus on equity, education, and community. Tiffanie will lead interactive mixology workshops at Palmetto Bluff, guiding participants in exploring the spirits, techniques, and creativity behind every pour.
