We are hosting regular volunteer days every first Saturday of the month in the spring and fall. Come join us and give back to the land by volunteering at Heritage Acres this year. While these work days consist of mostly manual labor, our projects can be adapted to any physical ability level, and all ages are welcome to participate.For this particular work day, we will be weeding our beloved Catalpa Garden, and planting some more native wildflowers in the bed. This is the busiest place to be in the summer time when all the flowers are in bloom! By helping on this project, you can really see the impact of your work firsthand when the pollinators come to visit the beautiful flowers you planted.
Please dress appropriately for the weather, as we are working outside for the entire duration of the event. In addition, bring your own drinking water and food to stay energized and healthy. There will be a group lunch break around noon. You do not have to be here for the whole duration, and can come and go as you wish. We hope that you can join us for this or another volunteer day soon.
