Ever wondered how you can get more involved in the community—without needing a perfect plan?
This month’s Purpose Forum offers a real-world look at how two people—at very different stages of life—are making a meaningful impact right here in the Grand Valley.
Mona Highline — Founder and Executive Director of The Joseph Center, a social entrepreneur known for restoring dignity and creating pathways forward for people in need of hope. She was recognized as Nexstar’s Remarkable Woman of the Year (2023) and Citizen of the Year by the Kiwanis Club of Grand Junction (2022).
Michael Nuttail — A full-time engineering student, Connect for Good ambassador, and active community member who serves on multiple nonprofit boards. Through his involvement—including volunteering with and supporting Mona’s work—he models Netweaving™ by connecting people, ideas, and opportunities across the region.
They don’t share the same background, career path, or life experience.
But they do share a commitment to showing up—and their connection reveals what’s possible when people contribute in their own way.
