MAXI’S FESTIVAL OF ANIMATION

This is the first volume of animated media from Max Knowlton-Sachner’s video library compiled mostly from my extensive VHS animation and cartoon collection.
I have been collecting VHS tapes my entire life and animation has always been my favorite. This has been a dream of mine for decades and I’m so excited that the historic Downer theater is letting me host it!
These films will be funny, sad, beautiful, scary, surreal, twisted, musical, dirty, nostalgic, hypnotic, trashy, shocking, relaxing, gross, offensive, touching and some will be just plain wrong! On that note I would like to say that some of these films are not appropriate for children so bring them along at your own risk.
I am doing this as my community service meaning this is FREE TOO THE PUBLIC because I love you guys. No tickets are for sale. I will however be accepting donations if you feel so inclined. Donations will all be going towards Maxi’s Video Library so that more media and tools can be acquired to help me keep this series going and have more free community events in the future! Seriously there is SO much I want to share. I can see this being a recurring event for a long time.
Also as usual, like all of my movie nights, we will be watching this on a VHS tape presented by Max Home Video, so don’t expect high definition Dolby professionalism! Do expect warm, passionately handmade quality that only VHS can offer. I will have a very limited amount of copies of this VHS ONLY AVAILABLE THE NIGHT OF THE SHOW. This is a labor of love project that I’ve spent most of my life preparing for and I can’t wait for you all to be part of it!
