Our first attempt at Max Match Play was a success! We're going to try again but make qualifying 2 hours instead of 3 hours, and include a finals round. Hosted by Will and Vic.
Check-in starts at 6pm. Tournament starts at 7pm.
$10 cash entry, $1 cash entry for new players (IFPA ranking above 10k)
The qualifying format is Max Match Play, meaning everyone will play the same number of games. After about 2 hours of play, we will stop assigning new rounds except for players who need to be assigned additional games to catch up to everyone else. We expect that everyone will play about 8 head-to-head games!
Then we'll go to a top 8 match play finals, and the top 4 players will receive a cash prize as a percentage of the prize pot: 40% / 30% / 20% / 10%.
