Mattress Fundraiser Kickoff!

Please join us Wednesday, October 23rd at 5:30pm to kick off the SupportWorks Housing Associate Board’s 4th annual Mattress Fundraiser!

SupportWorks Housing is a nonprofit providing permanent, affordable housing with supportive services to adults experiencing homelessness. Supportive services are anything from connection to healthcare, treatment for substance use disorder, & access to benefits, to how to use a debit card or cook on a stove. Supportive housing is an evidence-based best practice, and 96% of the folks SupportWorks serves do not return to homelessness.

When they move in, many program participants have no income. Many only have a bag of clothing. They must furnish their new apartment from scratch. Even once furnished, any repairs or replacements fall on them as well. The Mattress Fund helps participants purchase and replace essential furnishings - things not covered in our grant funding.

Join us for a night of casual conversation and networking, with presentations from staff about exciting updates, including about our rebrand from Virginia Supportive Housing to SupportWorks Housing, and ongoing activities at SupportWorks. Refreshments and snacks will be provided! On-site parking available.
