Join us for our second bakery run, this time in
Matthews.
Please RSVP so I know if I have to warn these bakeries/sweet shops that they are about to be inundated with a horde of sweaty, hungry runners.
It is approximately 13 miles, give or take whatever the satellites and watches come up with at the end. It is 99.8% on sidewalks and isn’t particularly hilly. We are looking at approximately 433 feet of gain.
We will begin at Innescas Sweets of Europe located at 215 N Ames Street #900, Matthews, 28105. There is a lot of public parking around here, so we all should be okay with finding a place to stash our cars.
We will then run approximately 4 miles to New Asia Market located at 4400 Porter Road, Stallings.
From there we will run about 5.6 miles to Tropical Bakery located at 11100 Monroe Road, Matthews. (If you get peckish before we get there, we pass a Dunkin Donuts about 2 miles into this stretch in the McKee Farms shopping center. 🍩)
Our next stop is about 2 miles away at Banh Mi & Coffee located at 10020 Monroe Road.
Our final stop is just over 2 miles away at Artisen Gelato located at 301 W John Street, Matthews.
We can then roll ourselves down to N Trade Street and back to our cars or find a place to get a sugar free lunch together.
