Renowned for his unique blend of stand-up comedy, musical talent, and artistic versatility, Matteo Lane hails from Chicago. His comedic journey has taken him from the vibrant comedy clubs of New York City to sold-out performances around the globe, including prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center.
His latest stand-up special debuted on Hulu in May 2025, showcasing his incredible talent. Previously recognized as one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch,” Lane has been described by Advocate as “bold and unflinchingly genuine.” He tackles a wide range of topics, from his experiences as a gay man to hilarious insights into everyday life.
His specials, including “Hair Plugs & Heartache” and the fan-favorite “The Advice Special,” have all garnered millions of views. On-screen, Matteo has impressive credits, including the Amazon Original film “Upgraded,” the Netflix series “Survival of the Thickest” alongside Michelle Buteau, and the feature film “Molli & Max in the Future,” which premiered at SXSW. He is also featured in Netflix’s all-queer stand-up special “Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution.”
Fluent in five languages and boasting a singing range of six octaves, Matteo has lived in Italy as an oil painter and classically trained opera singer before launching his comedy career.
