Raised in rural Missouri and now living in Wyoming's Wind River Mountains, Flint has spent a lifetime in close study of the natural world, its textures, its rhythms, its constant state of becoming. That attention finds its way into every surface he paints. His works build through layers of creation and destruction, each image emerging as another recedes, holding the tension between what was and what might come next.
The result is painting that moves the way wilderness does, familiar and elusive at once, inviting you closer while always suggesting there's something just beyond the next ridge.
