Welcome to Medicine Circles x Calgary. We are honored to welcome you into the second gathering of Medicine Circles x Calgary - a transformative six-month Indigenous led wellness series made possible through the support of Indigenous Services Canada and the Provincial Government of Alberta. Hosted by Shayla Stonechild (she/her), this series is rooted in Indigenous knowledge systems and designed to support the healing and empowerment for Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit participants.
Each month, we will gather in community to honour the upcoming full moon - a sacred time for reflection, release, and intention setting. Every circle will feature guided meditation and movement practices, traditional medicine teachings, and culturally grounded sharing circles led by a rotating group of Indigenous elders, knowledge carriers, and wellness facilitators. Through these offerings, participants will deepen their connection to land, culture, spirit, and one another.
The goal of Medicine Circles is to nurture intergenerational healing by reclaiming traditional practices, supporting holistic wellness, and creating a safe, inclusive space where Indigenous voices and stories are honoured. Over the next six months, we will walk the path of ceremony, community, and accountability- setting intentions, sharing knowledge, and planting seeds of wellness for future generations.
lululemon has generously sponsored yoga mats for all participants as a gift to support their wellness journey. Previous participants, please bring your yoga mat and journal. New participants, please bring a yoga mat! Only limited available will be on site.
Participants are invited to wear something comfortable to move in and to bring water bottles.
