Matriarch Knit Club with Nina Cherie

Matriarch Knit Club is a monthly craft filled gathering in the cozy space of Matriarch located on Thames street in Newport, RI. Hosted by textile artist & designer Nina Cherie and Amy of Matriarch, this club is open to all crafters. Show up with something to work on and surround yourself with nice like minded folks. Nina will be there for support, guidance, and to answer questions.

There are two types of tickets for this event:
Learn to Knit Two Part Course:

Looking for a beginner friendly laidback knitting course? Sign up for our "Learn to knit" two part course. You'll receive a pair of knitting needles and a ball of yarn. In this two part series, Nina will cover all you need to know to start knitting. She will explain how to pick your materials, casting on, knitting, purling, and casting off. The pace will be different for each new knitter. You'll start knitting your own hat by the end of the course!

This course will meet on Thursday, November 21st for the first part, and again on Thursday December 12th. This ticket is for both sessions.

Matriarch Knitting Club Drop In:

And if you're looking to commune with fellow crafters and just work on your current project in the colorful Matriarch shop, sign up for the Matriarch Knitting Club Drop In ticket. All crafts are welcome- knitting, crocheting, embroidery, etc.

We will have lots of sweet and salty treats for both groups to snack on throughout the event.
