Matthew O'Donnell is a Celtic folk musician and singer based in Charlottesville, VA, sharing songs and tunes for all people and all places.A lifelong onstage performer, and an experienced practitioner of the classic pub singer’s trade, Matthew brings a modern energy to traditional drinking songs, sea shanties, Irish jigs & reels, timeless folk favorites and original songs. A typical live show sees Matthew switching between the accordion, bouzouki, cittern, guitar, banjo, fiddle, bodhran and tin whistle, all while sharing songs and tunes woven together with a spirit of frivolity, humor and the joy of good company.
Matthew invites all to share an experience after which we can say “we’ve accomplished nothing, and we’re all better for it”.
