Over nearly four decades, he has crafted a raw, analog sound instantly recognizable to dance floors around the world—one that feels alive, spontaneous, and deeply human. Known for his mastery of live performance, Jonson transforms drum machines and synthesizers into immersive, one-of-a-kind journeys, bridging underground club culture with the sophistication of orchestral collaborations and concert hall performances. His music is a testament to authenticity and innovation, marked by emotional depth and technical brilliance.
Emerging in the early 2000s with releases on influential labels like Perlon, Kompakt, and M_nus, Jonson quickly rose to prominence through groundbreaking tracks such as “Marionette” and “Decompression.” His reputation as both a producer and performer was solidified by multiple awards, cover features in major electronic music magazines, and a consistent ranking among the world’s top live acts.
