About this Event
Dr. Farewell studies ways to promote mental and physical health among caregivers of children in multi-ethnic communities without the use of pharmaceuticals. She will discuss her research on depression, stress, and anxiety during the perinatal period. We will go over strengths based approaches for creating a positive pregnancy and postpartum experience.
Dr. Farewell’s current research is helping advance women’s health research by prioritizing perinatal mental health, fostering resilience and promoting wellbeing.
The Aurora History Museum's Summer 2024 Speaker Series aims to share some of the research happening in our backyard with the community. CU Anschutz is a leading center for medical research, and is in Aurora! Come to these free talks to learn about relevant medical advances. These presentations are made for the general public; you don't need to know anything about science or medicine to learn something new here.
