Host: Alex & NikoPlease join us for an afternoon of Modern Tabletop Gaming. Space is limited, so ONLY RSVP GOING if you plan on coming so attendance is accurate.
WHEN: 12:00PM - 4:30PM (gaming starts as people roll in). The library opens at 12:00PM, so no reason to arrive earlier.
WHERE: Matawan Aberdeen Public Library group space in the basement. Free Wifi available for poor cell reception.
PARKING: If you are a regular attendee and capable of walking further, please park in the alternate lots as described: https://sites.google.com/view/monmouth-county-board-gaming/home#h.eyd76fl9kg2g
This will allow other patrons to easily visit the library; we've filled up the main lot in the past.
WHAT IT IS: A Modern Tabletop Gaming Event. We will have beginner games like Catan, Sushi Go!, Splendor, Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, & Codenames, as well as some slightly more advanced games like Wingspan and Everdell. For people familiar with the hobby, feel free to bring your own games if you'd like. If you don't know how to play a game, we'll teach you! WHAT IT’S NOT: You should not expect to see anything mainstream like Monopoly, Scrabble, Boggle, Risk, Battleship, Yahtzee, or Poker. This is also not a Dungeons and Dragons, Magic, Warhammer, or other niche event.
WHO: Anyone age 14 and up who is interested in playing great games with great people! Age 8 and up if accompanied by a participating adult and able to learn & play age 8+ games.
PLEASE NOTE: Library rules - no food or open beverage containers. Drink bottles that can be re-sealed are allowed.
