Matariki Taimoana - Vector Lights
Saturday 4th July | 4pm - 8pm
Come and celebrate the switching on of the new Vector Lights for Matariki on the Harbour Bridge.
What to expect:
- Live music and DJs
- Fire braziers with toasted marshmallows
- Complimentary fish head soup, prepared by Papatūānuku Kōkiri Marae, and supported by Kai Ika (500 cups of soup available)
- Complimentary hot chocolate (500 hot chocolates)
- Star gazing with the Auckland Astronomical Society
- Whai - light-based artwork by Janine Williams (Ngāti Paoa, Ngāti Whātua ki Kaipara, Ngāti Mahuta). Inspired by the traditional string game whai, the installation blends ancestral knowledge with bold design
- Switching on of the Vector Light show on the Harbour Bridge

- Craft activities inside Silo 6
