Come along and celebrate Matariki with us as Kingi Peterson shares stories and insights from his own life and experiences. Enjoy a fun-filled session with songs, games, activities, and kōrero for everyone to take part in. Enjoy some light snacks and the chance to connect with others in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Kingi Peterson: Born in South Auckland, raised in Otara & educated in a Māori learning environment at Kia Aroha College (Formally known as Clover Park Middle School).

“During the late 80s and early 90s the area of Clover Park, Flat Bush and Manukau Heights provided the perfect viewing platform with all of its farmland and deep dark night skies. Matariki was once so bright, clear and majestic my family and I couldn’t wait to rise to see it during winter, so peaceful, quiet and safe was the space at the time that we had no worries driving or walking to the viewpoint.”
