The main focus of this event is to introduce simple yet effective strategies for managing sensory input, reducing stress, and supporting mindfulness. Participants will learn to enhance relaxation, focus, and overall well-being through regulation techniques and sensory awareness. Explore how your sensory experiences influence daily functioning and gain an understanding and appreciation of the mind-body connection by exploring various exercises, including those that activate and stimulate the vagus nerve.
A little bit about Kimberly and Balanced Roots... Kimberly Styche, MOT, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist and the owner of Balanced Roots Pelvic Health and Wellness in Granite Falls. She specializes in sensory processing, particularly related to nervous system regulation, and pelvic health for women and children. During sensory wellness sessions, Kimberly guides individuals in understanding their sensory needs and how they impact emotional well-being. Through education and practical tools, she helps clients manage anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and strengthen their mind-body connection. Kimberly is dedicated to empowering clients to achieve balance and feel their best in all aspects of life.
