This 4-week virtual class is designed to help actors at all career stages improve their skills and fall in love (or at least like) with the self-tape audition process. There are no prerequisites, but participants will need access to stable internet connection, a recording device with audio capabilites, and a self-tape area that allows for movement.
During this course, you will:
- Develop self-directing skills
- Learn or re-learn foundational techniques
- Gain confidence in your audition process
- Understand the importance of creating the right environment
- Discover methods to replicate the in-person audition experience from anywhere
- Master the art of staying audition-ready, so you won't have to get ready
Brick Jackson, originally from North Carolina and now based in LA, is an accomplished actor and comedian recognized for his roles on hit TV shows such as HULU’s "How I Met Your Father," HBO's "Barry," Netflix's "From Scratch," and Showtime’s "Black Monday." With over 40 film and television credits spanning various networks and genres, Brick is establishing a strong career for himself in Hollywood.
As a seasoned sketch and improv performer, Brick Jackson is the creative force behind "Series Finale," a celebrated monthly sketch show featured in The Cookout variety event at the Broadwater in Hollywood. Beyond his acting endeavors, Brick has significantly influenced the LA comedy scene, serving as the former Artistic Director of the Pack Theater and currently holding the same role at the newly formed H.I.T. (Hollywood Independent Theater).
Known for his charismatic hosting skills, Brick has helmed notable events like Orlando Jones’ "Sunday Funnies" and the "Color of Laughter" tour. With his wealth of industry experience and creative leadership, Brick continues to leave an indelible mark on comedy and entertainment.
