Mastering the Mountain: A Two-Day Mt. Rainier Workshop Ages 14+ @ Happily Painted Studio
Join me for a two-day, in-depth Mt. Rainier workshop designed for painters who want to better understand how to create realistic-looking mountains with more depth, dimension, and detail.
We’ll be working on a large 20×24 pre-drawn canvas, which means we can skip worrying about getting the initial shape right and spend our time actually learning how to paint the mountain.
Over the two days, we’ll slow things down and really dig into techniques like creating ridges and valleys, building highlights and shadows, adding depth without overworking your painting, understanding how light changes the shape of a mountain, and using some fun mixed-media techniques to create texture and dimension.
This will be a small-group workshop so there’s plenty of time for individual instruction, questions, and hands-on help with your painting.
You don’t need to be an advanced artist! This workshop is perfect for painters who already enjoy painting and are ready to challenge themselves, learn some new techniques, and get more confident painting mountains.
Two days 11/21 from 12-2PM and 11/22 from 12-2PM at our cozy studio in Selah.
All supplies and your pre-drawn 20×24 canvas are included.
