Our Speaker - Jon Boagey, Executive Director, Positive Youth Foundation, Coventry UK.

Jon has over 30 years’ experience working in the not for profit and public sector in a variety of roles. He started his career working at the Refugee Council in London and then with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees where he developed information programmes for young people in Thailand and Laos. He has also worked at senior level at the National Youth Agency in Leicester where he developed youth-related programmes for a wide range of clients including the Local Government Association, the Cabinet Office, British Council, DfE, DCMS, Commonwealth Secretariat, Barclays Bank, Absa and others.

Since 2015 he has worked independently for a range of clients including Youth First in Lewisham, the Somali Community Parents Association, Groundwork UK, UK Youth and the Kashmir Orphans Relief Trust. Since 2020 he has been the Executive Director at the Positive Youth Foundation in Coventry where he is responsible for income generation, fundraising, impact and outcomes reporting and research.

Jon has acted as an adviser to the Money Advice Service, the Canal and River Trust and is a trustee of the youth work advocacy organisation Youth Focus West Midlands. He is an experienced business development and income generation manager and is a member of the Institute of Fundraising.
