Become an Illinois Master Naturalist
Do you love nature and want to learn more about the world around you while giving back to your community? Join us for the Illinois Master Naturalist Training Program!
Dates: August 11 – October 13, 2026
When: Tuesday evenings, 5:30–8:30 PM
Location: Douglas-Hart Nature Center
The training features engaging classroom instruction and hands-on learning covering topics such as:
Botany
Prairie Ecology
Ornithology (Birds)
Aquatic Life
Wildlife
Forest Ecology
…and much more!
The program also includes two Saturday field days (dates to be determined) to explore natural areas and apply what you've learned.
Open to all adults ages 18 and older.
Registration deadline: July 27, 2026
