Introduction to VermicompostingThis presentation addresses several basic materials you will need, the pros and cons of vermicomposting, as well as common mistakes beginners make and how to avoid them! Vermicomposting is an eco-friendly, "cold" composting process that uses specialized worms to rapidly convert kitchen scraps, paper, and cardboard into nutrient-rich organic fertilizer (worm castings). It is an efficient, low-odor method for indoor or small-space composting, producing high-quality soil amendments in 8-12 weeks.
