Debbie Rea has been an avid gardener for over 25 years, and her specialty is growing anything edible–vegetables, herbs, fruit, and even edible flowers.
She grows a wide variety of her own organic produce and cooks with garden ingredients all year round. Dubbed “the gardener wife” by her husband, Debbie speaks and writes under that title in order to help everyone GROW SOMETHING, something beautiful–even better, something to eat!

DESCRIPTION: Learn to grow your own organic food! Debbie Rea, a.k.a. The Gardener Wife, will share how she maintains an organic kitchen garden in the Chicago suburbs from year to year–her favorite methods for planting, watering, feeding, and putting the garden to bed and how she deals with problems such as pests, diseases, and weeds.
Her SLIDE PRESENTATION will be 45-55 minutes long, followed by a 10-15 minute question-and-answer session.
