Mastering Event and Meeting Planning topic by Tessa Goettsch at January 16 meeting of Volusia/Flagler Chapter of FPRA
Tessa Goettsch Director of Meeting and Events at Brown & Brown Insurance will share her tips on making meetings and events memorable at the Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association professional development meeting. Public relations and communications professionals attending also will tour the Brown & Brown building during the lunch meeting.
Reservations are required by noon Tuesday January 14 at www.fpravf.org. The cost is $30 for members $40 for non-members and $15 for college students. Please bring identification and check reservation details for parking instructions.
Goettsch is a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) and Director of Events for Brown & Brown Insurance (NYSE: BRO) the world’s 6th largest insurance broker headquartered in Daytona Beach. She oversees the company’s largest national and local events event strategy and key event partnerships.
Prior to her 15 years with Brown & Brown Goettsch was a seasoned executive assistant for several venture capital firms in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. She also worked in public relations in San Francisco for the international high technology public relations agency Text100. She received a Master of Science in meetings and events management from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Arts in communications from California State University Sonoma. Goettsch is an alum of Leadership Daytona class of 2020 and has served as a board member for Women’s United Volusia a United Way organization.
The Volusia/Flagler Chapter of FPRA now in its 50th year is one of 16 chapters of the Florida Public Relations Association. The chapter is the premier professional development association for PR practitioners in Volusia and Flagler counties on Florida’s Central-east coast. Members represent corporate nonprofit and government sectors.
