What is massage for Trauma? It is a learned set of skills to heal the most vulnerable population in our community. You will learn skills for handling clients with trauma, mental or physical. You will become a Trauma Informed Massage Therapist.
What is Massage for Trauma? It is not learning somatic yoga or somatic release. This is a practical CE where we learn how to work on dying clients, clients going through chemo, permanently disabled, wheelchair users, and chronic illness. This is a client centered course.
What is massage for Trauma? It is not to help clients release their trauma on the table. That isn't in our scope of practice. Learn to help your clients regulate their nervous system by understanding what can trigger an emotional or physical response. Learn how to avoid triggering a response. Learn how to handle emotions and reactions on the table.
