My Brothers,
Last Sunday evening, October 5th , a very loved and respected member of Burleson Lodge 649, Brother Bill Taylor laid down his working tools. Bill was 94 years old, a Korean War Veteran and a Mason for over 40 years. Bill will be remembered as a very involved member of Burleson Lodge and most probably as our Master of Ceremonies. Brother Bill hated to miss lodge and very rarely ever did, until these last months as his health declined.
Even on some of his worst days Brother Bill Taylor would
slowly push his way into lodge with his walker. He was a very determined man that we could count on to help in everything that the lodge was involved in, no matter how hard the task. He loved all the Brother’s in the lodge and we all knew it, and he truly loved Masonry. He will be dearly missed.
Brother Bill Taylor will be cremated and there will be no funeral service, however Brother Michael Taylor, his son and also a member of Burleson Lodge would like to invite all the Masons that knew him to attend a Celebration of Life to be held at Burleson Lodge this coming Saturday at 11:00 AM.
He asks that you wear your lodge shirt if possible because that’s how Bill would have seen everyone, or dress is casual if you’re not able to. Brother Martin Dalby will be Officiating a Masonic Burial Service in the Lodge for Brother Bill Taylor. Brother Michael Taylor has asked that there be no food, as the family, after the Service will be going out as a family to eat and share their time together.
This Saturday, October 11th , at Burleson Masonic Lodge, please wear your lodge shirt if you can, for Brother Bill Taylor’s Celebration of Life.
