Maryland Plant Festival

We're doing it again. The 3rd Annual Maryland Plant Fest is happening Memorial Day weekend, May 23–25, 2026, and we want you there.

Hosted by us, Plants Alive!, this is the event we look forward to all year — and this one is going to be special.

The Plant Vendors: This year we're bringing together some of the best in the game. Cultivate the City, Southern MD Tropicals, and exotic plant vendor Ecquagenera will all be set up and ready to find you your next obsession. Whether you're deep in the hobby or just getting started, these vendors will have something for you.

Saturday + Sunday: The Market The greenhouse lawn is packed both days. Saturday brings our beloved Makers Market yearly crew, and Sunday is a curated mix of returning favorites and specially selected vendors we've been excited to bring in. Expect incredible finds, good people, and way too many plants you'll want to take home.

Monday: Hilton Carter Book Signing We saved something really special for the end of the weekend. Author, plant stylist, and all-around visionary Hilton Carter will be joining us Monday for a book signing. He'll be signing copies of his newest book, Unfurled: Designing a Living Home. When you RSVP, select Monday to reserve your spot and grab the option to purchase a signed copy in advance. We'll have a limited selection available that day too, but don't wait on it.

Food + Drinks Keep your energy up with bites and drinks from Flavor Hive, After School Coffee House, and Ben and Jerry's. Refreshments are provided by Smartwater and Topo Chico, so you're covered all weekend.

Entertainment We've got a botanical tattoo flash artist joining us (TBA) and a DJ to keep the vibes going all weekend (TBA). Stay tuned for the full lineup.

This is a free, all-weekend celebration of plants, community, and the start of summer. Come for an hour. Stay all day. Bring your people.
