Maryland Digital Opportunity Day

The Maryland Digital Equity Coalition (MDEC) is hosting the first Maryland Digital Opportunity Day in Annapolis on February 13th. This event is free and a great opportunity to:

• Meet directly with Maryland state senators, delegates, and their staff.
• Inform decision-makers about the ongoing needs of Maryland residents, such as affordable high-speed internet, digital skills training, and computing hardware.
• Share the impactful work your organization is doing to address the digital divide.
• Connect with other organizations working towards a digitally equitable Maryland.

Your involvement is essential in amplifying the voices of Marylanders who need access to digital opportunities. You may choose to participate in one, a few, or all of the activities listed below. The lunch session with RMC is limited to the first 15 people.

Kick off the day at the Maryland General Assembly complex, where we will gather together in person, share prepared briefing materials, and plan for an exciting day of educating and information-sharing. Location to be provided upon RSVP.

Meetings will be scheduled in advance; however, you are invited to schedule on your own if there are specific members you would like to meet with.

This lunchtime session will provide an opportunity to connect with rural legislators and advocates to discuss key rural issues, with a specific focus on the digital needs of rural residents. Limited to 15 people.
