About this Event
Mary Remington is a singer/ songwriter and multi-disciplinary artist based out of central Massachusetts. Through her mainly manual work life she writes most of her music while working, lending her music to represent the historical precedence of singing while you work. In 2019 she produced her first album in efforts to document these . As a multifaceted visual artist, Mary interweaves her clairvoyant message of nature's innerworkings into her ceramic and stone and musical expressions.
Upon release, various UK based Magazines including UNCUT, MOJO, and American Highways had much to comment on Mary's carved from the mountain presence. Her physical experience as a working craftsperson contributes to the tangible notes found in her songwriting. Collaboration in community is a stronghold to meaningfulness in Mary's life. The connecting line through all work that Mary does, is the reference of the daily chores, using the song of voice as the companion to all necessary acts of existing in a modern world.
Darling Hill delivers poetic, dark folk, with a unique twist on covers ranging from blues, pop, classic rock, grunge, and country alongside original works.
New England singer-songwriter Katherine Schimke of Darling Hill and her guitarist partner Aaron Derman, have been performing locally for over 8 years collaborating with many New England venues, art organizations, artists, and producers. Since 2023 Darling Hill has been celebrating their Nashville recorded debut EP, Where The Heart Heals. Darling Hill’s music is nostalgic, raw, hypnotizing, and filled with beautiful poetry that paints the world from a new perspective. Schimke’s unique vocals are combined with bewitching melodies that capture the essence of both fantasy and reality.
Jasmine Bete-Mitchell is a folk singer-songwriter from Southern Vermont. A storyteller with an interest in anatomy and the emotional body, she focuses on catharsis as a form of escapism. Through dreamy vocals, vivid imagery, and acoustic guitar, her music invites the listener into a deeply emotional immersive world. Inspired by Julia Jacklin, Big Thief, and Maya Hawke, her music taps into a deep sense of longing, intimacy, and the pull between home and constant change.
Doors are at 7pm and music will begin at 730! All ages! Seating is first come first served.
