Mary Oliver Print Workshop

Spend an evening at SRM Prints exploring printmaking inspired by the poetry and quiet observations of Mary Oliver. Her writing invites us to slow down, notice the natural world, and reflect on the small details that shape our days—an approach that pairs beautifully with the thoughtful rhythm of carving and printing by hand.

In this workshop, participants will design and carve a small relief block inspired by themes often found in Oliver’s poetry: nature, observation, and the beauty of everyday moments. We’ll then use textile inks to print imagery onto fabric, creating a series of hand-printed textile pieces. We will also create paper relief prints. This is a multi tier printmaking course.

Participants will leave with:

• a carved print block to keep

• a series of hand-printed pieces

• foundational skills in relief printmaking

All materials are included and no prior experience is necessary.
