Martín Alvarado with Gerardo Villar y Los Aguirre
Widely considered to be one of Argentina’s finest voices, Martín Alvarado is a world renowned Buenos Aires born troubadour, now on his 60th international tour, bringing tango and folkloric styles from his homeland to new levels of artistry.
Together with Gerardo Villar y Los Aguirre guitar quartet, they recreate the authentic sound of old Buenos Aires with a 21st century flair. The repertoire includes music by Piazzolla, songs by Carlos Gardel, folkloric styles such as zamba, and original ballads.
For some songs, they are joined on stage by dancers Flavio de Brito and Emma Livingstone.
