DESCRIPTION & LOCATION:We will meet outside Monkton Combe Village Hall and make our lanterns together. The story of St. Martin will be told and you will learn two songs before we set off on a little walk around the village carrying our lit lanterns. We will return to the outside of the village hall for hot chocolate & biscuits which we can enjoy by candle light.
Martinmas is a lovely celebrated which is held in Waldorf schools around the world.
Martinmas is better known since 1918 as Armistice Day; November 11th is also the Feast of St Martin or Martinmas. The lantern walk, which signifies how, through our collective action we can light up the darkness in the world for each other and our communities.
We are delighted to be offering this event again this year after such a successful Martinmas last year with lots of families.
COST:
£8 per person.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. This event is not suitable for pushchairs or prams.
