The end of the harvest season in medieval England was Martinmas. It was around this holy day that the last of the grain crops were brought in and any meat animals intended for slaughter were butchered and salted ahead of the cold winter months. Join us at Henricus as we prepare the Paston household for the winter with plenty of cooking, medicine-making, and dyeing of wool, as well as practicing archery, discussing late medieval armor, and firing our cannon.
