Each year our Martinez Historical Society Home Tour begins and ends at the Martinez Refinery Company Clubhouse. This was built in the 1930s by Shell Oil for the enjoyment of refinery employees, and occasional use by the community. It is built to resemble a hunting lodge of the era, with an Arts & Crafts style.
We have six very special homes on the 2025 Tour, one built by a famous mayor, one by a notable doctor, and the other by a revered judge -- all significant community leaders from the early to mid 20th Century.
Buying in advance saves you money, and helps us to assess attendance. being able to forecast the number of people is critical for scheduling resources, especially the shuttle buses.
