The Pocatello Branch of the NAACP would like to invite you to join us for our annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, at 10:30 AM. The brunch will be held in the Idaho State University Pond Student Union Wood River Room.TICKETS $25

GUEST SPEAKER: Stephen Weeg
Stephen Weeg is former executive director of Health West who retired in 2012 after serving 38 years in the health and human services industry. He was Health & Welfare Regional Director for Southeast Idaho, Administrative Director for State Hospital South and the Executive Director of Telehealth Idaho at ISU’s Institute of Rural Health. He has chaired or served on numerous boards, including NeighborWorks and United Way of SE Idaho. For 10 years, he was board chair of Your Health Idaho, helping thousands of Idahoans afford and access health care. Most recently, Weeg assisted the Bonneville Neighborhood Association and NeighborWorks in the creation of the Lasting Legacy celebration and the renaming of Bonneville Park to Purce Park.

At this year's event, the Pocatello NAACP will be raffling off books from the King Center, based in Atlanta, Georgia. Raffle Tickets are $5.
