The Martha’s Vineyard Jazz and Blues Summerfest is one the favorite festival stops on the end of summer schedule of major music event happenings in New England. Summerfest has come to be known as one of the best music events in the region featuring and celebrating women in the jazz, blues and contemporary arts and the 2026 lineup does not disappoint.

MVJBS 2026 Opening Night Celebrating Women in Jazz, Blues, Fusion and Funk
Info: Endea Owens, Grammy, Emmy and Peabody winner; takes center stage on beautiful Martha's Vineyard at the historic Union Chapel (55 Narragansett Avenue, Oak Bluffs, MA 02557) to light up the night with compositions that celebrate her journey from Juilliard to Jazz and embodies her altruistic, positive spirit. Opening for Endea will be rising star Dominique Smith who appeared on American Idol.
Bassist, composer, and bandleader Endea Owens brings her high-energy ensemble, The Cookout, to Martha's Vineyard for an unforgettable evening of feel-good music that blends jazz, soul, and global influences into a sound that’s both vibrant and deeply personal. An alum of The Juilliard School and member of The Late Show Band (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert), Owens has collaborated with jazz greats including Wynton Marsalis, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and Marcus Belgrave.
